Not every blasting application requires compressed air to supply breathing air to the blasting helmet. When enough clean ambient air is available, this can also be realised with the PX5 blower unit. Examples include outdoor blasting, façade restoration and soda blasting. The PX5 cannot be used in enclosed spaces such as blasting cabins.

The PX5 provides high-quality clean breathing air for all RPB blast helmets and air hoods. This robust and versatile PAPR (Powered Air Purifier) provides executive personnel not only with high-quality breathing air but - due to the absence of the usual connected air hoses - also with complete freedom of movement.

How does the PX5 breathe?

An efficient multi-speed fan draws in (ambient) air through the air intake and - if required - passes it through a spark arrestor. Large particles are then captured by a pre-filter. The latter to extend the life of the main filter. Finally, this filter cartridge ensures clean breathing air. Simply on the belt, so no hassle with compressed air hoses.

Durability assured

Up to 12+ hours of safe and continuous work can be done on a single charge of the lightweight, rechargeable and long-lasting Lithium battery at low fan speed. At high fan speed, this is 8 hours. The blaster's safety is further supported by a clear LED display that clearly shows the set fan speed, airflow level and remaining battery time. The PX5 provides a clear sound and vibration alarm when airflow is in danger of falling below the minimum values.
